News reporters are there to let people know what is currently happening. News reports should be real stories that are genuine actually happening.
What will happen the moment that a reporter cares more about their ratings on television than what is really happening?
What was captured here on video is very unfortunate for a female ABS-CBN reporter. In the video, it looks like the reporter and the camera man is staging a scene. Both the camera man and the reporter are seen coaching several rallyists poised in front of the camera on what they have to do. Allegedly, to bring more impact on their news report.
The original video was posted by a netizen named Addy Borromeo but has been taken down, for unknown reasons. It only lasted for 12 seconds but it captured the essence of what reporters are doing for the sake of "making" news, not reporting.
According to Borromeo's original post, she was walking in downtown Bacolod when she noticed a small crowd of anti-Martial Law protesters who were rehearsing their anti-Marcis chants with a reporter acting as a choreographer or director.
Borromeo also said that she pitied the protesters because they were made to repeat their chants a hundred times under the rain.
Like what was said earlier, after it went viral, it was deleted. But it resurfaced again, this time, from a netizen named Reynante A. Tan who posted it for public knowledge.
He captioned it with:

What can you say about this? Isn't this what you call fake?
