WATCH: Brgy. Captain Caught Abusing Farmers And Stepping On Their Crops

For the longest time, people that sit in power have been abusing those that are under them. Oftentimes, they do this because they can, and because there are no people who stop them.

In short, we are letting them.

But this time, with the arrival of President Rodrigo Duterte, has given a lot of people hope. It has been proven for so many years now that Duterte cares for the plight of ordinary citizens.

A lot of stories about his noble heart is surfacing, and a lot of people who wish to have justice are also reaching out.

Such is the story of abuse that was posted by a Facebook user named Arsenio Bulilan from Sitio Pili Brgy. Barayong Abuyog, Leyte.

According to him, the barangay captain of their town named Bernabe De Veyra and his brother in law Joseph "Jojo" Almendra has been maltreating their family for five years already since their dad died.

Along with the post is a video where in the captain is shown going around the rice field and intentionally stepping on the crops.

The Bulilan mentioned that they make their living by farming, that means, when the captain killed the crops, their livelihood is affected.

The post calls for the people who can help them to reach the authorities so the captain will stop abusing them.

Nais ko lang po sanang ibahagi sa inyo ang sobrang kalupitan ng aming Brgy. Captain na si Bernabe De Veyra at ng kanyang bayaw na si Joseph "jojo" Almendra . Dito sa aming lugar sa Sitio Pili Brgy. Barayong Abuyog,Leyte . Limang Taon na po kaming nakakaranas ng kalupitan at pang aabuso sa kanila simula po ng mamatay ang aking ama ay nag simula na po nila kaming abusuhin dahilan po ay porket may katungkulan sila ginagamit po nila ang kanilang kapangyarihan sa katungkulan sa hindi tama . Maging ang punla / binhi na palay ay inaapak-apakan nila. Sa pagsasaka na lamang ang ikinabubuhay namin at nalukuha ng pagkain ngunit inaabuso at ginagawa po nila ng hindi maganda ang dapat sana ay makakatulong na lamang kahit papaano sa amin. Sana po ay matulungan ninyo ako at ang aking pamilya na malutas at mag bayad ang mga taong ito sa pang aabuso nila sa amin. Hangad ko lamang po ay maging maayos at tahimik na ang pamumuhay namin at hindi na kami abusuhin ng mga taong ito.
