Since the Duterte administration started, we have seen nothing but progress when it comes to road building and infrastructure projects.

The latest project that the government has finished is the Cagayan de Oro Coastal Road, which is a 12.77km project that started in 1997.

The Costal Road serves as a bypass road that starts from Brgy. Gusa in the eastern side all the way to the western side in Brgy. Igpit, Opol in Misamis Oriental. The said road connects six barangays in the city and also two others in Opol.

Mark Villar posted the good news on his Facebook page today, November 12, 2017.

Meanwhile, another construction of a road is being done now. It is the Agora-PPA-Corrales section, according to the DPWH Region X.
“Furthermore, documents for 4 other RROW issues are also being submitted to the Solicitor General for preparation of the filing of expropriation case,”
“For CY 2017, two contracts are ongoing for the eastern side in Lapasan under Gicar Construction worth Php 100 Million and another in Puntod section worth Php 200 Million under Equiparco Construction,”
It is said that the project can help a lot in the congestion of traffic.
“Once project will be totally opened, it will help decongest traffic in the city proper since the heavy loaded trucks from the neighboring provinces going to the port may divert to the coastal road, thus, supporting the trade and commerce of the community,”
“Other vehicles going to the western side may also utilize the said road. This will also reduce travel time by 20 minutes due to smooth flow in traffic and reduce travel cost by 30%,”
