Actress Maria Isabel Lopez Is Facing Possible Suspension Of Her License For Using ASEAN Lane

We have seen a lot of celebrities and known personalities use their fame before to avoid having a hard time like what other people have to go through.

Another example was done yesterday by actress Maria Isabel Lopez when she posted on her Facebook account that she was able to go through the designated lane for ASEAN delegates when she turned on her hazards.

Just when Maria Isabel thought that she was able to fool MMDA for thinking she was an ASEAN delegate, the MMDA released their official statement about the matter.

According to MMDA spokesperson Celine Pialago, what Lopez did was a "serious breach of security."

“MMDA and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) will now recommend to the Land Transportation Office the suspension or cancellation of Maria Isabel Lopez’s license,”

LTFRB board member Aileen Lizada also released her disappointment on Lopez, saying that the beauty queen "is not a good role model."

“That lane has been the subject of a series of meetings of the security [group]. We are the host country, it’s a good thing that no traffic collision happened [there]. Otherwise, the Philippine government, particularly the MMDA will be hit [with criticisms] and not the beauty queen who is also a representative of the country,”
