But one beauty-pageant participant seems to having the rough end of the bargain. Mariel De Leon, the daughter of Christopher De Leon and Sandy Andolong came home from Japan early after she lost and failed to even reach the Top 15 of Miss International 2017 being held in Tokyo.
Philippines is holding the title of Miss International as Kylie Verzosa won it last year. Mariel was hoping for a back-to-back win, but unfortunately it did not happen.
Meanwhile, presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor thinks that what happened to Miss Venezuela in 2016 was what happened with Mariel now.
Ms. Venezuela did not make the Top 15 despite being one of the coveted participants in the whole competition. It was said that she was prejudged after her strong political opinion.
Is this what happened to Mariel? If you can remember, she was very vocal at how she despises the president and how our country is turning out to be.
If that is the case, then Inday Sara says that she is having a Schadenfreude (being happy when someone fails) moment. She also said that she knows something about Mariel but did not disclose anything as she was tired.
To this, Mariel answered back.
After an hour, she can't seem to get over it, she tweeted another tweet that said that maybe Inday Sara wasn't happy and was insecure that's why she was glad that Mariel lost.
