Former TV and Radio Broadcaster Commends TP Nieto For His Brilliant Courage Against Pangilinan

Last October 4, 2017, a senate hearing was held to investigate the spreading of fake news in the country.

Among those invited was Thinking Pinoy's Rey Joseph Nieto. Nieto answered all inquiries directed to him properly and brilliantly, even the blatant allegation of Senator Risa Hontiveros about Nieto's disrespect to Senator Leila De Lima.

Meanwhile, when it was time for Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan to probe Nieto, he went on and blasted allegations after allegations at Nieto, not even letting Nieto answer.

Nieto showed patience and respect when he was finally allowed to answer,

"I would answer, if you would just let me talk, with all due respect."

The questions of Pangilinan led to the fact that he wanted Nieto to choose between being a blogger  and being a consultant from DFA. To which Nieto answered that he is just helping the government, he is just getting 12k a month for the consultancy that he doesn't even want.

"If you think I have violated any laws by helping this government, sue me."

On another note, this statement of Nieto was what prompted veteran broadcaster of GMA News and TV host Jay Sonza to commend Nieto through a Facebook post.

According to Sonza, instead of being thankful to Nieto for helping the government, Pangilinan's statement is allegedly showing implications of threats against the blogger and his job.
