Lacson Admires Trillanes After Singapore Trip, Says The Burden of Proof Now on President Duterte

Just when we thought that President Rodrigo Duterte is having the last laugh after revealing that the account number that he dictated on live television was fake.

According to him, he did that to fool Senator Antonio Trillanes. Who then scrambled to go to Singapore immediately just to disprove what the president said.

However, there are some people who think that the president did not achieve anything. Some people think that he just placed his credibility in question.

One of these people are Senator Panfilo Lacson. He thinks that the burden of proof went back to Duterte because of what he did. Now he has to prove that there really are existing accounts and that it has money in it.

Lacson also said that he admires Trillanes for doing what he did to disprove the president.

“I take my hat off kay Sen. Trillanes. Very boldly talagang pinakita niya na kaya niyang i-disprove ang ‘di siya nag-hesitate. Ako, I admire him for that,”

Senator Lacson still believes that the burden of proof is back to the president. If any, it is now heavier on his side, rather than on Trillanes'.

“Ang burden of proof, lalong bumigat pa sa part ni Presidente. Dapat makita ngayon may existing account na may laman,”

As a last note, the senator also said that because of what the president did, a could of doubt may soon follow everything the he says from now on. He also thinks that the Singapore trip even "buoyed up" the credibility of Trillanes.

Meanwhile, when asked for a comment, the presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella said that what the president did is just a part of the "unorthodox" and "out-of-the-box" way of dealing with things.
