WATCH: Comelec Chair Andy Bautista Denies Wife's Corruption Claims

Commission on Elections Chairman Andres Bautista on Monday denied his wife's claim that he has did not declare P1 billion of his wealth and accused her of attempting to extort money from him and having an affair. He said that he's the victim of betrayal.

"In Nov. 10, I was called by a BDO bank manager that my wife was withdrawing a huge amount from our joint account and moving it to her personal account." said

His wife withrawing 117,000$ (One Hundered Seventeen Thousand Dollars) and P250,000 (Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Pesos) from their joint account and transfering it to her personal account.

"Hindi po totoo iyang mga paratang na iyan. Matagal na po kaming may problemang mag-asawa na ngayon ay nababahiran na ng pulitika. Kasama ko po ang aking pamilya ng Bautista at pati na po ang kanyang pamilya, ang Cruz family, sa labang ito," Bautista said to radio DZMM.

According to Bautista This is a pure money play. She has been asking for a lot of money. This money is not hers. It belongs to my family. I've been told there's a political agenda behind these moves..

"The president was very kind, we met on Aug. 1. He gave me a very good family advice. I explained to him my side." Bautista added.
