Sass Sasot slams mainstream media for spin on Comelec chair's unexplained wealth after wife's exposé

International political analyst and a well-known Pro-Duterte blogger Sass Rogando Sasot lashed out at mainstream media for spin report over Comelec chairman Andy Bautista's alleged involvement in corruption.

This was after Comelec chair's estranged wife, Patricia Paz "Tish" Bautista revealed that her husband might have amassed nearly P1 billion worth of ill-gotten wealth from questionable transactions while in public office.

On her Facebook post, Sass recalled how the media allegedly backed up Senator Antonio Trillanes on his allegation that comes from an unknown and fictitious source claiming that President Rodrigo Duterte owned more than P2 billion worth of ill-gotten wealth in his bank accounts.

"Noong si Trillanes naglabas ng excel sheet na galing sa isang fictitious na Joseph de Mesa na kinuha ang info sa isang anonymous source, grabe ang mainstream media sa pag-report at pag-tahi ng kwento para suportahan ang narrative na may ill gotten wealth si Duterte," she said.

But now, a real person emerged carrying Bautista's passbooks to prove her claims, the media tried to twist and cover up the allegation: "Ngayong isang TOTOONG tao ang nagpakita na daladala ang bank passbooks ni Andy Bautista, grabe naman ang paglihis nila sa issue. Asahan nating ang spin ng mainstream media will be: Away mag-asawa lang iyan," she added.

Although Sass did not mentioned the name of the media trying to defend Bautista on her post above, she lambasts Rappler in a two separate post:
