Sass Fires Out Several Responses To Spox Roque's Obvious Biased Defense For The Mainstream Media

On Monday, November 6, 2017, Rappler posted a video of the Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque and his plea to Mocha Uson and the DDS about the value of journalists.

In his statement, he said that he was hoping that Mocha Uson would be there so he can teach her and her followers the importance of the rights of free press.

"I am calling out to the DDS (Diehard Duterte Supporters) and I was hoping Asec Mocha could be here to send the message. In due course, we will explain in a manner that all will understand why rights of the free press are important,"

This is pertaining to his mainstream media friends that he defended earlier. When he was asked what he would tell Uson, he replied that he will tell her and the DDS that President Duterte would not have won if not for the mainstream media exposing the previous government.

"The people would not have supported President Duterte if the media did not publicize the failures of the previous administration,"

To which, naturally, the DDS got angry. Social media blogger and known supporter of the president, Sass Rogando Sasot aired out her anger on her Facebook page. According to her, mainstream media doesn't have rights but pure baseless entitlement. What the people want to hear, according to Sassot, are responsibility and accountability.

Sasot couldn't contain her anger and sent out another Facebook status about the statement of Roque that we should be sending pan de sal to the "legitimate mainstream media" instead of hollow blocks.

Meanwhile, in response to Roque's tweet about calling out the DDS to stop throwing allegations and anger towards the mainstream media especially Pia Ranada, Sasot said that Roque should respect the people's anger towards the mainstream media for being biased and for attempting to ruin the president.

Furthermore, Sasot aired yet another Facebook status that it is not true that it is all thanks to the mainstream media for airing the "kapalpakan" of the previous government, that's why President Duterte won. It's not true becuase ordinary people campaigned for him, because the were relentlessly countering the black propaganda that the said "legitimate mainstream media" is proliferating.
