Network Security Expert Slams Bam Aquino Asking Him To Stop Fooling The Filipinos On Hacked Issue

On October 12, 2017, Senator Bam Aquino held a press conference announcing that the email accounts of his staff and Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan has been hacked.

He showed screenshots of the hacked Yahoo! accounts where they allegedly found a draft email with a subject title “Leaked Media Plan to Destroy PRRD.”

The content of the letter which is obviously doctored to look like a hacker's attempt with grammatical errors was addressed to Senators Franklin Drilon and Senator Pangilinan.

As a rebuttal to Aquino's claim, someone who claimed to be a Network Security Systems professional commented on Thinking Pinoy's post which TP then reposted how Aquino was making a fool out of Filipinos.

The comment said:

"First of: if yahoo mail yan, mag inform sa iyo ang mail server that it was opened in another country (via alt email or mobile number) if US ang claims nyo na hacker (i'll leave the VPN issues kasi you wont know if its via vpn or not kung email lang babasehan mo natangahan ako sa iyo nun). Kasi if you can track that vpn was used, you track which ip it will come from considering that its a national security at stake and youre a senator. Medyo sablay eh. Better fire out your story adviser (bobo eh). Masyado kayo pa bebe, T$@"*%# naman! Ginagawa nyong bobo pinoy hoping that we are naive to believe such stories.

Secondly: if na hack yan, there is a very high probability na di nyo na marecover yan because password will be changed after. Contradicting sa sinabi mo sen aquino na nakita nyo yung email sa draft.

Conclusion: isa sa mga staff nyo ang gumawa nyan. It was never been hack in the first place. Kasi na open nyo pa ang email. I cant bare to see you in national tv kasi i can see how stupid you guys are and so obvious na napakatanga ng story nyo. Sana if you can up to such story, ask an IT to cover all flaws ng istoryang barbero.
