WATCH: Mayor Lani Cayetano Hits Duterte Critics: "Sinasaktan Niyo Ang Bansang Pilipinas. Mali Po Yan"

An event called Tapang at Malasakit: Alliance for the Philippines was held last October 23, 2017, where key speakers were invited to head the event.

Among the speakers were presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte and Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano, the wife of DFA Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano, who was the running mate of President Rodrigo Duterte in the last election.

In her speech, Mayor Cayetano started it by saying that she was invited to talk for a small Duterte event. But she said, anything that has something to do with Duterte cannot be considered small.

"Nang ako po ay pasabihan tungkol po sa pagtitipon na ito, ang sabi ay maliit na pagtitipon. Pero pag Duterte gathering talaga, walang maliit e."

As the followers and supporters were able to prove in the last elections. She also added that the followers and the Filipino people are there for Duterte because of the genuine care he has in his heart for the country.

Mayor Cayetano also reminded the other party that no means of pulling down can affect the administration.

"Wala pong anumang paninira at pagpupumilit na maipabagsak ang kanyang administrasyon ang makakabura niyan."

Mayor Lani Cayetano has been a mayor for 7 years already, and she attested to the fact that right after President Duterte took a seat in office, changes for the better has been happening.

She went on in saying how the confidence of local leaders were multiplied because of the trust that they have for the president. She hinted that these are never mentioned by those who are up to pull the administration down.

"Pero ang mga bagay na ito ang hindi binabanggit ng mga mahihilig lamang magbatikos, sapagkat mawawalan sila ng kredibilidad."

She also emphasized that it is okay to have opinions that are against the administration, but when you go to such lengths like going to other countries, then that is when it becomes hurtful, not only for the president, but for the country as a whole.

"Okay lang ho mambatikos. Okay lang po na pumuna. Pero ang dadayo ka pa sa iba't ibang bansa para hatakin pababa ang bansa mo, hindi mo sinasaktan ang Pangulong Duterte. Hindi niyo sinasaktan ang ating pangulo, sinasaktan niyo ang bansang Pilipinas. Mali po 'yan."
