Marawi Kids Will Now Have Psychosocial Intervention, Thanks To Robin Padilla's P5M Donation

Here's another good news for us. Just this Wednesday, actor Robin Padilla donated P5-million to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) specifically to help children that are affected by the Marawi crisis. The turnover was personally witnessed by none other than our President himself.

According to the caption of thee said photos that were released by Malacanang, Padilla's donation was received by DSWD Undersecretary Emmanuel Leyco.

"The P5-million donation is intended for the immediate psychosocial intervention for the children affected by the armed conflict in Marawi City,"

Padilla was joined by several people when he made the donation, these were, Glen A. Pangapalan - General Manager of Fisheries Development Authority, Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. - President of Frabelle Food Corp, and his brother Rommel C. Padilla.

There were also others who witnessed the signing of the deed for the donation. Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzanam Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez, DSWD Asst. Secretary Rodolfo Santos, and Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief-of-Staff General Eduardo Ano.

The donation will be a big help to the 400,000 residents who have been displaced since May 23 when the fighting between government troops and pro-ISIS Maute group erupted. This is what prompted Duterte to declare Martial Law.
