WATCH: Ozamiz Police chief Espenido dares media "Kung hindi kayo takot, punta kayo dito sa Ozamiz"

Former Albuera Police chief Jovie Espenido who is now assigned in Ozamiz City as chief of police dared mainstream media to visit Ozamiz and witness the real situation happening in the province.

"I would like to challenge sa national media na pumunta kayo dito sa Ozamiz, tutukan niyo ang Ozamiz dahil kawawa ang Ozamiz, hindi kawawa yung mga tao na nasa posisyon ngayon na binaliktad nalang ang istorya, kundi kawawa yung mga Ozamiznon na 100% nai-injustice dahil lang sa isang apelyido dito na humahawak na may personal interes sa pamunuan nila," Espenido said.

"Kung totoo kayo na media, kung totoo kayo na media practitioner.. hindi kayo takot, punta kayo rito." he added.

The police chief questioned why there is no mainstream media covers Ozamiz before and after the death of the narco-politician Mayor Reynaldo "Aldong" Parojinog when they were present and active during the investigation and operation of the slain Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. in Albuera, Leyte.

"Bakit nagawa niyo yan sa Albuera? lahat transparent tayo dun.. Dito[Ozamiz] iba! pag ka may pera..very obvious..Huwag niyo ng masyadong dumihan ang media department sa mga personal interest lang..Dahil maraming mga tao ang nagtratrabaho ng totoo as media practitioner pero nasira lang." he said.

Espenido even challenged prominent TV news personalities such as Noli De Castro, Mike Enriquez and other known media outlet to send their team to Ozamiz and participate in the operation he led.
