Youngest Soldier From Allacapan,Cagayan Died Fighting in Marawi City

Private Froilan was killed by a foreign sniper in Marawi City during the intense firefight between the Government forces and the Maute-ISIS. He was born on March 18, 1995 in Kalinga but spent his childhood in Allacapan, Cagayan. He died on July 03, 2017 at age 22 and possibly the youngest soldier died fighting in Marawi City.

He was in defensive position at 2nd floor building when a sniper Maute shot his right temple. In the spot report of AFP (Arm Forces of the Philippines) since their 10mc is in front line the Maute with caliber guns easily spotted him.

Froilan is the assistant gunner, "Noong gumalaw na siya ng kaonti, doon na siya na snipe" AFP said.

"His cafgu father died of gun shot when he was 8 months old so we take the custody of him while his mother is working abroad. He worked hard to follow the footstep of his father never did we know that he will also left us at the age of 22 it was so agonizing because this child stays with his different relatives. He must have been suffered emotional pain because there are nights when he covers under his pillow and cried, yet never forget to divide his salary among his cousins aunts and mother the only money left for him is his mess allowance. Less than one year in the afp a sniper from maute took his life while he is in defensive position at a second floor building".
