In the previously concluded ASEAN summit here in the Philippines, an issue aroused when a group of protesters led by Renato Reyes Jr. rallied in Mendiola.
They wanted to reach United States President Donald Trump. There were protesting against Trump and the US.
Because of that, a lot of people questioned Renato. Questions and accusations like "Why US and not China?" "You don't like Americans but you eat at Mcdonald's." "It is the rallyists fault that people got hurt."
Fed up of the comments and accusations, Renato Reyes Jr, aired out his side in a lengthy Facebook post, tackling all the concerns of people against him and his rallies.
Before we go to the whole aspect of his post, one thing captured the netizens' curiosity. In his long post, he mentioned that he is not being paid for the rallies that he is conducting.
BUT..
He said that they are just getting a small amount for allowance. So, the question is, who is giving the the allowance? Who is financing the rallies against the government?
While you ponder on that question, here are his points.
First, he mentioned that Trump is trying to bring back the bases here in the Philippines in an attempt to drag us into the war between them and North Korea.
Second, he addressed the people who are making it an issue that he doesn't like the Americans but he eats at Mcdo. He said that he didn't dislike the Americans, per se, its the situation and what they are planning.
Third, he mentioned the fact that they are being pointed as the source of all the conflicts and the people that are getting hurt. He said that not all rallies are turning out negatively.
Fourth, he said that they are not getting paid for the rallies they conduct. They are just getting small allowances. Which paves way to the question of who is giving them the allowance, right?
For those who are asking why don't they help the government instead of launching rallies. He gave examples of people who did just that but was kicked out from the government.
In response, to the sarcastic comments who are calling him out to run for presidency instead, he also has an answer.
Lastly, he addresses the misconception that we need the United States.
Before he closed his post, he explained that he is just somebody who want to see change come to the country he is living in.

When confronted with fascism, we have a duty to resist.
Fourth, he said that they are not getting paid for the rallies they conduct. They are just getting small allowances. Which paves way to the question of who is giving them the allowance, right?
We are full time activists. We do not have salaries, only small allowances that are way below the minimum wage. We carry out our political work voluntarily.
For those who are asking why don't they help the government instead of launching rallies. He gave examples of people who did just that but was kicked out from the government.
In response, to the sarcastic comments who are calling him out to run for presidency instead, he also has an answer.
Ganun.
Lastly, he addresses the misconception that we need the United States.
Before he closed his post, he explained that he is just somebody who want to see change come to the country he is living in.
It is bigger than just one person.
