Napoles Has The Perfect Comeback - Files Cases Against 4 Prominent Opposition Senators

For those who might have forgotten already, there was a time when EJK was not the worst problem the Philippines is feasting upon. There was a time that it was discovered that there was a Pork Barrel Scam wherein senators and personalities used their pork barrel funds to put up a businesses/charities named after other people just so they won't be blamed. This was all ran by the pork carrel queen herself, Janet Lim-Napoles.

After a series of hearings, Napoles was sent to jail, and just when we thought the story was done, here she comes again with another bomb to drop.

She's coming back with an epic slam on the opposition senators namely Antonio Trillanes, Leila de Lima, Franklin Drilon, and also former Budget Chief Florencio Abad.

Department of Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre himself spilled the news that Napoles' camp are soon planning to file cases against the four mentioned personalities before the DOJ.

In a phone interview with ABS-CBN's Umagang Kay Ganda, Aguirre confirmed that Napoles' plan according to him he already talked to the latter's lawyer.

“Nakausap ko na po actually ang kanyang lawyer. Ang sabi niya,in a few days, maglalabas na sila ng kaukulang habla at ipa-file ata nila iyon sa DOJ,”

 He also to UKG that those that are connected to the scam are prominent personalities and that they will surely file against them first.

“Mga ilang personalities po, talagang prominent personalities po na involved sa PDAF scam ang uunahin nila… Ang mga nabanggit niyang personalities noong nakaraang administrasyon ay sina Secretary Abad, parang kasama rin si Senator Trillanes, Senator De Lima at [former] Senate president Drilon,”

Meanwhile, just this Monday, Senator Antonio Trillanes denied that he had anything to do with the multi-billion peso pork barrel scam. He also added that four years ago, he was not even in the list of personalities that Napoles submitted to DOJ.

“I categorically deny any involvement in any irregularity regarding PDAF, DAP (Disbursement Acceleration Program) or any government funds, for that matter,”

He also added:

“I was never even mentioned in any of the so-called Napoles lists provided during the height of the investigations in 2013,”

After saying that he was not even in the list that was submitted on 2013, he accused Aguirre of  “using his office to persecute and harass members of the opposition by fabricating testimonies from dubious convicts or detainees such as the Bilibid drug lords, Kerwin Espinosa and now Napoles.”

Another accused personality that stated his side is Senator Franklin Drilon, according to him, this is just revenge and not the truth.

“I vehemently deny any insinuation by the Secretary of Justice that I was involved in any wrongdoing regarding the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF). Any allegation that I misused public funds or that I coursed it through Napoles or any bogus non-government organization at any point is a blatant lie. 

“This is outright black propaganda and political harassment intended to silence the members of the opposition." 

“The intention is obvious from the personalities being linked. Who are the targets of this administration? Former President Benigno Aquino, former Budget Secretary Florencio Abad, Senator Sonny Trillanes, detained Senator Leila De Lima, and myself. If this is not revenge, I don’t know what it is.”
