Karen Aizha Hamidon was arrested at her house in Taguig this October 11, 2017 with the help of a search warrant.
According to the National Bureau of Investigation, Hamidon became a person of interest in the middle of 2016 after she tried to recruit some Indian Nationals to go to the Philippines to join the radical groups in Mindanao.
In her cellphone, 296 online posts about her recruitment was found which is recruiting members of ISIS and the launching of a rebellion in Marawi.
The husband of Hamidon is reportedly Mohhamad Jaafar Maguid aka "Tokboy" and "Abu Sharifa". He is being considered the leader of Ansar Khalifa Philippines who was responsible for the Davao City Night Market bombing last September, 2016.
According to reports, Hamidon also got married to Singaporean Muhammad Shamin Mohammed Sidek who is also connected to ISIS.
Hamidon is currently detained in the detention facility of the NBI headquarters in Manila.
