Duterte bares Grace Poe's defects: Ang lakas mong manigarilyo, ang lakas mong uminom ng brandy

Just recently, Senator Grace Poe stated she understand that cursing is already part of President Duterte's style, but this may influence children who are listening to do the same.

“Style na niya ‘yan pero syempre ‘pag ikaw ay pinapakinggan ng mga bata, gagayahin. Sang ayon ba tayo doon?” Poe told reporters in an ambush interview.

This statement was made after President Rodrigo Duterte cursed at former Benigno Aquino III, for criticizing his administration's war on drugs.

In response, President Duterte on Monday said that the lady senator is too quick on the draw in handing out "motherhood remarks" against his cursing and vulgar language in his public speeches as if she doesn't have any character flaws.

He was visibly irate with Poe that he even claimed that the senator was a heavy smoker and drinker, something that many Filipinos do not know.

"Lahat naman tayo may depekto eh. Ikaw, anong depekto mo? Ikaw ang lakas mong manigarilyo, hindi alam ng Pilipino. Ang lakas mong uminom ng brandy. Totoo lang,” he said.

"Yan ang sikreto mo. Ako walang sikreto. Binubuga ko lahat. Sanay ka kasing mag-ano sa akin. You admonish me as if you are the mother. Motherhood ano ka kaagad," he added.

The President said that if the Filipino people want someone who’s “prim and proper” she should have won during the last presidential election as she was opulent and supported by the Catholic Church.

Speaking before troops in Marawi City last Friday, Duterte told Poe not to meddle in the issue between him and Aquino as the senator did not understand his position.

"You take care of your... You take care of your mouth, and I will take care of mine because my mouth is not for your mouth. Tahimik ka lang diyan kasi hindi mo naintindihan from where of I stand," he said.

The President also admitted that he was insulted by Aquino’s remark, stressing that the former president should not have criticized his war on drugs, which he blamed for the armed conflict in Marawi City.
