Bereaved Father of Victim in Drug-Related Stabbing Lashes Out on "Drug Supporters"

The wildfire created by the death of 17-year old Kian delos Santos, the alleged drug runner supposedly gunned down by policemen during a raid in Duterte’s One-time bigtime crackdown on drugs, has not only incited netizens and left-wing activists into a national frenzy, but has also served to widen the gap between pro and anti-Duterte factions even further.

LP politicians have swooped down like carrion birds into the deceased teen’s wake, expressing what they hoped would be seen as their all-out support for the “victim”, except for the fact that people all over have been calling them out left and right for using the issue to fuel their own agendas and political plans.

Known Duterte detractors Vice President Leni Robredo, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, former Vice President Jejomar Binay, and Senator Risa Hontiveros are just some examples of the said politicians, with Hontiveros even taking in witnesses of delos Santos’ murder under her own wing.

Their professedly well-meaning actions have not escaped scrutiny under the watchful eyes of the public though, most especially those of the families of the countless victims of drug-related crimes.

Of these, one of the strongest voices currently making waves on social media is that of Nino Piñero, whose daughter Nikki – who was pregnant at the time that tragedy struck – horribly died when she was stabbed to death by a rampaging surfer in Siquijor just last April.

The suspect, Michael Añabesa Manayon, later admitted that he was high on drugs during the incident.

As a bereaved father still grieving for the loss of a beloved daughter, Periño said his piece in a Facebook status posted August 22^nd.

My Nikki Piñero and her unborn child, and to Lorraine Ramirez who were brutally murdered in Siquijor.

Ito ang ginawa ng mga drug addict supporters:

1. Rally sa mga LP.

2. Roman Catholic Bell Ringing every afternoon sa mga drug addict to be save.

3. CHR investigating for the loss of drug addict(s), and

3. Wow sa mga Phil. Senators may investigation for the drug addicts but to the victims no more.

Kitang-kita na kung sino talaga ang mga drug lord dito sa Pilipinas.

I curse all these people that what had happened to me and my family it will happen to you.
