Jim Paredes of the legendary OPM group APO Hiking Society once again made the news after his celebratory Twitter posts went viral in the aftermath of the Pacquiao-Horn fight yesterday, where the Filipino boxing champ suffered a great loss.

Paredes, who now lives in and is a citizen of Australia, stated in two separate Twitter posts,

"Pacquiao lost!!!"

"What a great day!!"

In an additional post, he also criticized Pacquiao for being Anti-Gay, Pro-Death Penalty, and Pro-Extrajudicial killing, adding an additional dig about the senator's taxes.

@Jimparedes You used to unify us. The whole nation. Not anymore. EJK, anti-gay, death penalty got in the way. After you rest I hope you pay your taxes.

This did not sit well among people who, to begin with, were already reeling from the disappointing and controversial result of the above mentioned fight. Ire ignited, the netizens proceeded to lambast Paredes.

@cjamado23 Man i do not like manny the politician but to mock manny the boxer representing your country is just low

@dune_miravite $10m + millions again for rematch + TV viewership earnings which includes a has-been back-up singer w/o a career watching  #SucksToBeYou

@archiejen So patriotic, wow napaka disente mag isip ng tao na ito, ipag diwang ang pagka talo ng kababayan porke magkaiba sila  ng kulay politika

@donyarosennica Talo man si Manny but he still has millions of 💰 to bring back home and share them with the less fortunate. Eh ikaw wat do u hav? BITTERNESS

@meldimacali I used to think you stood for something now you're just as blind and mean spirited as those you claim to be on the bad side of history.

Facebook netizens apparently shared the same sentiments. In a news posted by Trending News Portal (www.tnp.ph) people commented with their own sentiments regarding the issue.

Regardless of these, as of present @Jimparedes continues to reply to comments to the aforementioned tweets. He also still remains a staunch critic of the Duterte administration and appears to have no plans of letting up.

If you remember, Jim Paredes is a staunch hater of the Duterte administration. He was and still is vocal about it, what we can't understand though, is how he can put down a man who is fighting for his country just because he stands on the other side of the political fence?

What do you think? Is he right to say that? Or he should have kept his mouth shut?
