WATCH: Soldiers turns emotional while saying goodbye to their loved ones before leaving for Marawi

82nd Infantry Batallion  Soldiers of Philippine Army and their family members became emotional during their send-off ceremony at the Iloilo Airport on Saturday.

The 19 officials and 428 soldiers from 82IB were sent to Marawi and flew via C-130 plane of Philippine Air Force to help the government to exterminate the Maute Terrorist Group.

“Sinumpaan namin na ipaglaban ang bayan, at protektahan ang Sambayanang Pilipino. Dalawang bagay lang ang mangyayari, makakauwi ng patay o makakauwi ng buhay dala ang tagumpay” the soldiers said before being sent to Marawi.

Family members of the soldiers didn’t stopped crying because they are unsure of what will happen to them during their deployment in Marawi City.
