Watch: DSWD to provide rice subsidy for poor families

The government has released P2.58 billion for this month’s rice subsidy of some 4.3 million household-beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps.

Each family is expected to receive P600 per month, on top of the health and education cash grants they are already receiving through the 4Ps, according to Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Judy Taguiwalo.

“Only households that are active and compliant with the program conditionalities are entitled to receive the additional R600,” Taguiwalo claimed.
