A prominent member of the European Union parliament from Hungary, vowed during an interview with international media that he will not meddle in the internal affairs of the Philippines despite criticisms from the EU calling on Pres. Rody Duterte's administration to drop the Anti-Drug War campaign.

Hungarian Foreign and Trade Minister Peter Szijjarto told reporters it will never "judge or criticize" Pres. Duterte who was elected by majority of Filipinos during the last presidential elections.
