President Duterte to personally supervise dev’t projects in Jolo, Basilan

In a speech Thursday, December 9, President Duterte said he would personally supervise the constructions of infrastructures in Jolo and Basilan.

The projects will be spearheaded by the Ofäce of the President and handled by the military.

“At ako mismo ang magtingin doon, the hospitals and all. Otherwise, walang dadating doon,” he said

President Duterte had several times declared he will order the building of military hospitals, and improved the highways in conåict-ridden areas in Southern Philippines.

He added that he wanted easy medical access for soldiers injured in battles. Infrastructure projects will also hasten development in the area.
